Privacy Policy

Channel Stats ("the app") is a private, read-only tool operated by the owner of the YouTube channels it reports on. It is not offered to the public. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is handled.

Data the app accesses

• With the channel owner's authorization through Google OAuth, read-only YouTube data of the authorized channel: channel and video statistics such as view counts (YouTube Data API) and channel analytics including estimated revenue (YouTube Analytics API).
• The OAuth tokens required to keep this read-only access.

Requested scopes: youtube.readonly, yt-analytics.readonly, yt-analytics-monetary.readonly. The app never requests permission to change anything on a channel.

How the data is used

Only to produce private statistics reports for the channel owner. The data is not sold, not shared with third parties, not used for advertising and not used to train any models.

Storage and retention

• Data is stored on a private server. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted.
• Hourly counters are kept for up to 72 hours; daily totals are kept until the channel is removed from the app.
• When a channel is removed, its tokens and statistics are deleted.

Revoking access

Access can be revoked at any time in the Google Account settings: myaccount.google.com/permissions. After that the app can no longer read any data of the channel.

Google API Services

The app's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The app uses YouTube API Services; see the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
